NFU remains opposed to raw cane sugar ATQ

The NFU has responded to a wide-ranging government consultation on the raw cane sugar autonomous tariff quota and the UK general tariff on raw cane sugar. The NFU believes the raw cane sugar ATQ continues to constitute a significant threat to the UK sugar beet sector in allowing tariff-free access to world sugar produced in ways which are often illegal here in the UK.
